Evanescence, Track #2 (on Evanescence.com)Speak your mind, Like I care I can see your lips moving I've just learned not to hear Don't waste your time It's never enough for you baby Don't want to play your game anymore No matter what you say I'm all out of love for you, baby And now that I've tried everything I'll numb the pain, 'Til I am made of stone Take your time I'm not scared Make me everything you need me to be So the judgment seems fair Don't waste your time It's never enough for you, baby Don't want to play your game anymore No matter what you say I'm all out of love for you, baby And now that I've tried everything I'll numb the pain 'Til I am made to Tear out my heart For the way that it feels I will still remember when you've long forgotten me It's never enough for you, baby Don't want to play your game anymore No matter what you say I'm all out of love for you, baby And now that I've tried everything I'll numb the pain 'Til I'm made of stone It's never enough It's never enough It's never enough I'll numb the pain 'Til I am made of stone I'll numb the pain 'Til I am made of stone

It seems that everyone hates it but actually I love it, it's strong and kind of sexy - and i like the live intro so much!

I really don't hate it, but I wish the chorus was better and with less "baby" and stuff.
That being said, it's always awesome live, has a great instrumental and the bridge is one of the best in the album for me.

This is one of my favorites from the album but not so much lyrically - agree with most people on the use of 'baby' (which is too mainstream imo). The bridge is an amazing showcase of Amy's voice and the guitar riffs give off that spooky feeling that "Haunted" does. And that live intro is ear candy!!!

Baby, baby, baby, oooh.. Thought you'd always be mine.. But seriously, except those babies in the chorus, this song is one of my favorites plus it's the only song with a decent guitar solo from the album.

I like this song. I tend to skip it for some reason, but when i don't, i really enjoy it. I don't mind the "baby" that much, to be honest. This song reminds me of CMWYS because of how bitchy the lyrics are. It's perfect to sing along to it when you're mad at someone and want to let it all out for good, or just when you need a very catchy and fun song. Musically, it doesn't offer innovative elements, but i'm satisfied with it anyway, Will's drumming is amazing in this song in particular, so energetic. The intro they added is excellent, i wish it was part of the original recording. Amy's voice sounds great, too.
There's not a particular part of the song i don't like, i like it from beginning to end, but the parts i like the most are the live intro, the pre-chorus and the bridge including the guitar solo.
I was shocked when i realized that the heaviest Ev record to date had only ONE guitar solo. Sick begs for a guitar solo and i don't understan how they didn't see that before realeasing the record and also Disappear does great with that extended bridge including drums and guitar, as we already know.

This is one of my favourite Evanescence songs. It's so catchy and it has this soft but hard and deep but not-too-serious dynamic going on which I love.

I have a whole hit list of people I want to scream/sing this at...."It's never enough for you baby, don't wanna play your game anymore. No matter what you say, I'm all out of love for you baby, and now that I've tried everything...I'll numb the pain till I am made of stone."

This song was one of my early favourites when I first downloaded the album. I still love the track, and its my ringtone on my phone as well. I just hope that I don't forget to switch my phone off when going into meetings - otherwise everyone is going to get a blast of MOS at full volume

I don't think "baby" was used romantically, more sarcastically and bitterly, considering the lyric content.

Every time I listen to the Renholder Remix of this song I get really disappointed that the 'electronic' concepts for the newest album weren't really pursued. I hope that they use those influences more on the new album, sort of like Muse have done with their new album. It'd be really cool!

Since some of you have mentioned the live intro of that song, I cannot help but state that I immediately fell in love with it the first time I heard it! This intro in particular sets a pretty dark and fitting atmosphere for what is yet to come. (The electronic bits are a nice bonus!) Other than that, MoS is definitely among my favourite tracks off the newest record. That song is just so damn empowering... I can relate to it to quite some extent but I gotta agree that the chorus gets a bit too cheesy for my taste. At least for the lyrics of an alternative rock band, that is.
