I tried to make an acapella using the song and the official instrumental, but the damn tracks are mixed differently so the best I could do was eliminate 70% of the music. This is the result:

Would you be able to explain what you mean by "the tracks are mixed differently"? How are you able to tell? It's not easy to explain as I don't fully understand myself. But the idea is that you should be able to rip a damn good, if not perfect acapella from a song, as long as the instrumental is exactly the same as the song (obviously without the vocals). Matt, ripped one of his UK promo MHIB singles in high quality MP3 for me and I gave it go in Audacity using the instrumental and the 'single version' and the first thing I noticed was a volume difference, not because of the vocals, but on the sections there were none. So I tried the instrumental with my album version since I ripped that at the same quality and again, the instrumental is quieter than the song. There may even be subtle differences that we can't hear. Either way, it wasn't the case of just removing the vocal tracks and giving us the rest, I'm positive they've altered it somehow.

That's pretty weird. Thank you for explaining.

Yeah, I'm in a ridiculously silly mood right now XD

I don't know why but I can't stand this song anymore. I think it's because I listened to this and watched the music video a whole lot back in 2011 and now I suppose I'm tired of it

I heard a rumour that the song was meant to be played at the 2011 Nobel Peace prize, but the band was asked by the production team not to play it due to its theme, and they even rehearsed it. Is this true?
