This song is probably my #1 fave on this album Although I really don't like the line hold on little girl
The second verse is my fave out of this song wow that piano is beautiful and what backing it up is haunting:) I live listening to this song when I'm moody or upset or just for the heck of it;)

I had heard forever ago where the song was written about the label but it was playing today and I remembered this piece of information. Went back, started the song over, and really LISTENED to it. From it being one of my most disliked lyrically on the record originally (it falls where many songs do for me on records after following a particularly emotionally connective song - I just don't care for that juxtaposition) I actually like it now. I rarely listen to any song with a specific thought of "what it's about" in my mind; I generally prefer to make my own meaning. But by knowing this particular bit of information, I can hear it dripping with venom and I really love it now. Methinks the "hold on little girl, the end is soon to come" is fairly indicative that Wind-Up is gonna be out of Ev's (and by proxy OUR) lives fairly soon. Cannot wait!

LOL, actually that's the one thing i like the most about the song. It just decribes how i feel about the label and how much i want Ev to sign to a new one once the contract with WU is finished. I can't wait either.

Love this song. It comforts me when I'm in a particularly misanthropic mood by reminding me that not everybody out there is closed minded and opinionated:"They don't understand how sick we are, sick we are of this bottomless pit of lies behind closed eyes..."

This is why I think she had that little mini rant in front of the song at one of their shows this year. I cannot find which one it was but she said something to the effect of "are you tired of people telling you what to do? what to f*cking say? how to be?"...something like that.

This should have been the 2nd single, the chorus is anthemic and should be able to garner radio spins from both Rock & Pop radios. I second that! Sick is quite a powerful track with a solid message behind it. This time, Ev have gotten all honest and straight-forward about things, and I must admit, I like it that way. I mean, don't get me wrong; I love their usual metaphorical lyrics but the ones to Sick, for example, are a nice change to the usual pattern. Although old-fashioned, cliché and uninspired, the guitar part at the beginning and end of the song still sounds pretty badass to me. It gives the song a certain dark vibe and it also sounds quite Kornish-like to me. Not a fan of Korn myself but I think that motif has worked out well for Ev. Electronics and the piano have done a nice job for the song, too. I also like it how the lyrics to Sick are so suitable for the angry masses. Those discussing, protesting, and above all - not being afraid to speak their mind communities. It's a way to define freedom. WU will pay for their utmost sh*tty promotion, as well as for all the rest they've done to Ev. In all honesty, some of that label's moves have been complete and utter nonsense. I don't even... xD PS 1: The "little girl" expression could've indeed been skipped, though. PS 2: Gonna start correcting myself on the "bridges," as well. Ghehe.

I was there, and oh my god that moment was amazing! The whole crowd went like ''YEAH'' and we had that angry passion around for a moment. Definitely one of my favorite Ev live songs!

I hate this song.... Heh, it's my humble opinion that Sick the worst on the album and one of the worst they've ever written. Bite my head off, I dare you. Sick's one great attribute is them drums. I love the drums in the verses.
