This interview was sooooo fun! I love Amy's personality when she's being interviewed. That little moment when she responded "blame it on me" to a joke from the interviewer and funnily sang "set your guilt free" from Lacrymosa cracked me up.

The teasing regarding Evanescence stuff is killing me.
I think Amy should cover Human Behavior.

Unfortunatewy and I'd die to see that video of Jack behind Will's drum kit! ------------------------------------------------------- ps: oops! look like I posted in the wrong thread! That little moment when she responded "blame it on me" to a joke from the interviewer and funnily sang "set your guilt free" from Lacrymosa cracked me up. That was my favorite part too!!! I also love how she picked Even in Death, and she talked more about her reasoning about choosing to include Origin after trying to play it off all these years as just "Demos". Great interview, I think it's my favorite of Amy's so far!

The longer Amy goes being independent, the happier and freer she seems in general. Like...I've never known her to be this way in 2011/2012 interviews. She's not giving out the same canned, vague answers over and over. Amy actually tries to answer some questions differently, and tries to bring something new to every interview. The bit about Jack and watermelon was a cute tidbit, the mention of Jack being fascinated with big words...it might be just little things, or maybe not. I also love how Amy is talking about Jack a lot more openly now, like she isn't afraid certain fans aren't going to ruin it somehow. It seems like the two of them have a real special connection. And also all the projects she's been up to, she definitely doesn't like staying idle for long. Kind of like a shark, but in music. Becoming an independent artist is literally the best thing to happen to Amy, career-wise.

Becoming an independent artist is literally the best thing to happen to Amy, career-wise. So true. I think the closest I've seen of her freely answering questions before now was the Scuzz interview she did right at the end of the Ev era tour: Interview probably because she already knew she was almost free of the contract at that point, and even then she bottled on certain questions in a way that obviously screamed "Am I in breach of contract if I say this?". This interview is easily the best I've seen. You could tell she was a bit nervous at first, but she settled down really quickly. It was just her, a decent interviewer and a room full of diehard fans (and by diehard I mean down-to-earth long time supporters of her music as opposed to the crazies with no respect for the artist and her work). The questions and answers flowed really easily and you could tell she enjoyed discussing things with what was essentially a room full of likeminded people rather than some "this'll be front page news tomorrow" manipulatived journalist desperate to get some gossip out of her. There really was no obvious boundary between the fans and the artist, just friends sharing ideas and that's so rare in the music industry with artists as established as Amy. Honestly, I'm a little jealous I wasn't there!

I wasn't expecting Amy to go into so much detail about the way she thinks about certain things. Even in Death, for example.

Enjoyed every single second of this! and I agree with you guys. I loved how freely she talks and answers different questions in details. specially the questions from the fans. I felt an endless reserve of energy and enthusiasm in her for talking about herself, her personal life and the projects she's working on in these new interviews. and this one was definitely one of her best interviews ever. I wanted to quote my fav answers but their number is too high.
"I wish I looked like that" xD
and btw, if anyone found a link for downloading this interview, please share it here. I must add this to my archive.

If this isn't the right thread to post this in, please let me know - I'm so sorry if that's the case! (I'm not sure if this is just for the contents of the interview or if I could include personal experiences too)
But I was the nervous as heck idiot that asked her why she chose Even in Death to redo (and then was rendered completely speechless when she asked me what Origin song was my favorite). When she asked me what song was my favorite I was so stunned and then wasn't sure what to say because I LOVE Origin and thought she would hate the song that is my favorite haha (Lies).
Anyway, this was phenomenal, one of the best days of my life and re-watching the interview, it was just as fantastic as I remember. I've actually cried a few times today because it's hard to face that it over, haha.
Oh and by the way, it's nice to talk to everyone! I've been too shy to post but i read this board almost every day and I was a member of the old EvThreads. I just HAD to post because I was worried I looked like a massive idiot there!

You should have said Lies. I would have since its my favorite and I'd wanna know what she says about it. Lol. But don't worry, you don't look like an idiot at all. I dunno if I would have been able to even speak to Amy at all if I were there.
