I've seen a couple great examples of using their OG logo and I think it could work? Either way it's cool but it would be nice to see the nod to their logo. Really, really, really unnecessary and disrespectful... If Evanescence want to change their image a little, let them do it... Even, What If Amy want to departure from her clasical image and want something more raw? I believe that some fans, myself included, only criticize to express what we believe are areas of "improvement" based on what we are given, and not to harm the band. I know opinions might change after the song is released, but for now, that's all they are: harmless opinions. I love that the fans are so involved in doing these edits, because it acts to promote the band's material and show how passionate the fandom really is about the music.

I like the album cover. It's totally different yes, but I think it'll make more sense when the music comes out and you listen to it.

The album cover is the opposite of what I expected, but it a good way. I hope we are pleasantly surprised by everything else that comes out too.
Do you think this will be the first album to have a title track? The Bitter Truth sounds like it could be the name of a song also.

I saw these as well. I thought the font wouldn't fit the picture, but it does. Maybe they are indeed stepping away from the gothic imagery. Cool if that is the case, I like their gothic style but I'd like to see something different for a change. Ev3 already sounded and looked a bit more raw. Probably, I am sure Amy wants to step out of that image. But at the same time she build up this band and you could even say the brand so much, and the font or even the "E" logo is iconic and instantly recognizable. But I see both sides, I don't mind them stepping out and doing something completely different...I mean I do REALLY like the cover and color choices. But I do wish the logo was there. The album cover is the opposite of what I expected, but it a good way. I hope we are pleasantly surprised by everything else that comes out too. Do you think this will be the first album to have a title track? The Bitter Truth sounds like it could be the name of a song also. I hope it does! I think that would make a killer track. I wonder if Take Cover or Perfect Dream will make it on this record or if it will be new material.

I'm really excited by the prospect of getting completely new sounding music with an Ev kick. Ev3 kinda lost itself with some of the songs sounding too Ev generic (if that's a thing), like Sick and Erase This. I love when we get something dramatically different, like how Call Me When You're Sober and Imperfection felt...and how Take Cover felt even though it was only performed live.

Can't a moderate on here create a Facebook event for this song and we can use it to promote the song's release?
Can't we also create a Facebook page with all things related to this album to help promote them?
Can we do the same with an Instagram, twitter and even tiktok etc posts?

The Ev logo and font were dropped for the Synthesis artwork too... not sure why it’s such a big deal. We’ve had the same logo and font for so long. I like the change.
I’m excited that this has a different feel and vibe. I feel the grunge vibe but I also get industrial or even a 2011 dark electronic/molly scene vibe with the text colors and the colors in the editing.
I’m not too keen on the title yet but I’m hoping that will grow on me as I hear the songs and understand the theme. All the other Ev titles give me a sense of wonder like I’m about to step into an unknown world where I get to feel and experience and make sense of something. The Bitter Truth feels like I’m going to be told something and that makes me feel like I want to rebel.
Also, I’m curious if we’d be seeing a different cover and theme if covid hadn’t hit or if this was the direction and art idea from the beginning. Not that I’m disappointed. I’m just really curious.

Anyone noticed the pattern?
Fallen (one word) The open door (three words) Evanescence (one word) The bitter truth (three words)
The bitter truth Hmm.... it sounds like it could have been a Lacuna Coil album.

I keep wondering if Amy is going to put the other cover she recorded with The Chain on the new album. And if that song she said she recorded for a series (she said on reddit) was not accepted, 5 months have passed since we had any news about it. I hope The Bitter End is a name for a new song and not just the name of the album. The album cover is beautiful to me and the second best album cover only loses to The Open Door. I hope she puts on some electronic music from the broken album. It would be amazing that we can hear Perfect Dream and You Got A Lot To Learn I'm really excited by the prospect of getting completely new sounding music with an Ev kick. Take Cover I love this song but I prefer it not to be on the album, I want something that we haven't heard anything about. But I want her to put a take cover on a single in the future. I personal don't care if Take Cover finds its way to this album. I love the heaviness of the instrumentals, they really pack a punch. The overall attitude is great too, but the lyrics are rather generic to me and I would dare say a bit...lazy.

That's what I was thinking. That or the instrumentals were from the Ev3 session and the melody and lyrics were put out on the fly to have a new song to perform on tour. This seems odd to me as Amy is a perfectionist with everything involving music.

I didn't really love that it got dropped for Synthesis but it worked for it and I didn't mind it because I consider Synthesis to be a stand alone like Anywhere but Home. I do like that they are doing risks, but at the same time I just wish they used it. I keep wondering if Amy is going to put the other cover she recorded with The Chain on the new album. Posts merged - Rark I hope we don't get anymore covers on the new record, I wasn't a huge fan of The Chain...the song or the video itself. I am hoping for a set of new songs. I wouldn't mind Take Cover or Perfect Dream making it on this record because they could fit...but I also wouldn't care if they didn't. I am indifferent.
