Update: "Legends & Lyrics" 54 Iconic Artists! Pt 1 Trailer - Producers: Chip Miller & Levvy Carriker 197 views · 8 months ago...more Sound & Visions • A Film & Video Collection 3.4K @chipmiller 1 month ago (edited) The full series has been shot and is ready for broadcast. The original production company lost their funding and the main director/producer passed away, so the series was left unfinished with only 8 episodes completed, for 7 years, and only episode # one aired on PBS a few times. Two years ago our production company bought the series, invested in competing the editing of the remaining 10 of 18 one-hour episodes. We created new trailers and promotion, and will be seeking a network to pick it up in 2024. PBS is a given, but we're first going for CMT, Showtime, HBO, BBC, Canada TV, RFD, and lastly PBS. We've produced dozens of concert specials for PBS, but they pay very little compared to CMT, etc. We'll announce when the series is picked up. We're also looking for a private or corporate investor to help cover extending music sync tights contracts, which is about $65,000 to $70,000. That investor also becomes a co-producer and recoups their investment first on each episode that airs. In the meantime, right here on our YouTube Channel: "Sound & Visions: A Film & Video Collection," there are several Playlists for our music videos, movies, commercials, documentaries, TV programs , and "Live TV Concerts Specials." Under the latter, you can view for free both the full episodes one and two. Enjoy and thanks for your query. Holiday good cheers, Chip Miller (Desert C.A.M. Studios)" I swear, the recording is literally 15 years old. I don't even understand how they honestly think any network will pick this program up. Just post it on Youtube. But tbh, I feel like we have more of a chance to get a new EV album, maybe two before Your Love will ever see the light of day.

This program is the only chance for Your Love to see the light of day
Amy was probably never going to release this song
I hope they make it this time.

I agree, a program that's over a decade old, it's very difficult for a network to accept something so old. Youtube would be the most effective way, but considering that they spent more than $100,000 on editing and will still need more than $70,000 to pay for expired licensing and put it on YouTube, they might not have the financial return to cover at least the spending.

New Updates, I received the following email from Chip Miller yesterday. And I thought it was a really good idea, so that fans could finally see "Your Love". What is your opinion? "Crazy idea in the interim. Since Evanescence fans never stop hoping to see the episode in which Amy Lee participates, what do you think of this notion that literally popped into my head when I got to your reference to “Evanescence”. We own each episode and can do whatever we choose to with it, from the ideal network showings to streaming platforms. Our goal of course, is CMT, HBO, Showtime, Disney Plus, Apple Plus, Amazon, etc., but until then, what do you think of your fans funding the music rights like crowd funding, but just the episode with Amy Lee and Evanescence. We can do a proper music rights budget just for that episode. Probably fall into the range of $5,000-$7,500. We can do an exclusive release to wherever the fans would like it. But the folks who helped fund the music aspect, would get private master links with the show’s download included. When the series gets picked up, we could include all the Amy Lee episode folks on our list of investors to be paid back after the show retrieves it’s costs from broadcast royalties to streaming monetizations. The investors in front of these folks are the late Will Mitchell, Nancy Mitchell, Rick Sanjeck, Desert C.A.M. Studios, and Chip Miller. The episode cost originally around $450,000 to shoot, produce, and buy music rights. These are the music rights the Mitchell’s purchased that have now expired on the entire 18 episodes. I don’t do crowd funding or even know anything about it, but the idea flew into my head that if just 1,000 Amy Lee fans invested $10, we could clear the rights for the Lee episode. The extension costs would be about $7,500, plus music supervision and network fees, $10,000 in total. The fans would have their episode with our permission to share and use as desired. Only thing is, they can’t sell or monetize it. And until we raise the rest of the funding or find a Showrunner, there’s no telling when the series will air or commence monetized streaming. So fans will have an exclusive participation. Of course, if we pursued this, we’ll do it up all legal."

Update, another email from Chip Miller: "I agree it could be a very workable idea. And we don’t have to limit the fans to 1000, as that was just an arbitrary number I came up with to make the payment investment as low as $10.00. One way to help folks with possible reluctancy is to give them access to our website, our YouTube Channel, and our IMDB Pro listing, so they can see the history of our past, recent, and current work with movies, television, and music – particularly live TV concert specials and music videos for major artists. Also, even after music rights funds are secured, we still have to re-edit the episode to put a new end credit sequence in and prep it for broadcast. So we still have to invest another $2,500 for final post-production. Eight of the episodes were already edited and prepped by the original producers, but they left two episodes partially edited, and eight more completely unedited. Those unedited episodes will run us about $7,500 each, but luckily the Amy Lee episode fits into the second group of the two that are partially edited. Amy Lee’s show has very little to do to complete it. So if we upped the fan goals to 2,000, that would not only take care of the music rights, but also would take care of the last stage of editing the new end credit sequence. But either way, the music rights are the first priority, because that not only allows us to let fans have a master of the actual show for their investment, but also clears the way for that particular episode to air on television separately or as part of the series when we secure the music funds for all the episodes.
I do not know of any particular platforms per say, as I have never done any kind of crowd funding before. However, I am copying one of my partners, Allen Plone, on this email chain, because he does know a thing or two about some of the crowd funding platforms out there. So I will let him weigh in as well."

The updates are much appreciated but please be careful with how much you're sharing here. I'm not sure how much these guys would want the details of this floating around and I know how... passionate?... some of the fans in our fandom can get.
Also, I know that Amy feels like she's written better songs and what-not, and I totally get it, but she kinda does have the power to end the madness with this one. On top of probably not being concerned with Your Love at all anymore, I think she slightly enjoys the drama lol.

I don't want to sound hateful, but if this song is ever released, I want a version finished and approved by Evanescence/Amy Lee, not an acoustic performance that I doubt will make it in stream services.

We will only hear this song through Legends and Lyrics. Amy said she's not going to release this song, and I don't believe she's going to change her mind.

I actually stopped hoping we could see the live song like ever, so $10, heck even $30 would be a pledge i'd happily give them. (i'm not wealthy lol) I don't care about having it released on streaming services though, these aren't important to me. There's so many songs and albums that aren't on there at all.
I supported many small businesses on kickstarter (and my local equivalent of it) over the years so I think it's a lovely idea. I'd love to be a part of that.

I would definitely help too. If this is going to be the only way we're going to hear this, then we should help.
