I AM IN LOVE with this song, so I was just wondering, what other artists out there put elctro or even electro rock type songs like these??? I've never explored this genre and I'm falling in love. Please give me suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated! The only one I think is Depeche Mode.. are they electro? Well, give it a listen: MGMT, Bat for Lashes, La Roux, Massive Attack, M83 and Fever Ray.

This track really makes me think of Deftones, Combiechrist, Ayria, and even a tad of Birthday Massacre. If you like it look up industrial, EBM (electric body movement) and darkwave music.

I think I'm going off topic now... but some people just didn't realize that there are some Ev electronic-based songs (Even in Death, Swimming Home, Snow White Queen), their/her music always had electro stuff. Even her solo works (Sally's Song and HDTS). There are a LOT of electronic based Ev songs. lol. The sounds are just so layered under everything else that they're hard to hear unless you are looking for them or know what to look for. Or if you're one of those people that like to play around with the songs in an audio editor. lol. I think, as you have said, that's what most people do not understand and I think that's why there is so much hate for this song. Then again, they can just be that person that just doesn't like electronic-driven/more electronic music... *shrug*

Oh, and Chino Moreno's (the singer from Deftones) new thing, Crosses. Absolutely ace. Basically Deftones with an electro feel.

Even with all of the articles for PTB, Lockdown is still charting higher than it on US iTunes.
941. Amy Lee - Lockdown (feat. Dave Eggar) 1495. Amy Lee - Push the Button

iamamiwhoami is also a great electronic act. Even with all of the articles for PTB, Lockdown is still charting higher than it on iTunes. 941. Amy Lee - Lockdown (feat. Dave Eggar) 1495. Amy Lee - Push the Button Lockdown is the closet we'll get to Evanescence so most fans of the Ev sound are more likely to buy Lockdown than PTB. Unless PTB gets radio airplay, articles are almost useless since I'm pretty sure only Ev fans are mostly the ones who would bother to read those articles. A music video might do wonder for PTB though, but it would also depend on how visually stimulating it is. A music video with the same quality as TOD videos and even Fallen videos might entice people but not so much if it's something like the Ev3 videos... Oh the MV doesn't have to be high budget to be great quality, there are really simple ones out there that beats the most expensive mvs. She could also make a lyric video in the vein of this one -> www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFWMMwELrlE

I asked if this was true, but I have not gotten a reply.

I have a hard time accepting all the hate for Push The Button. I understand most of the people that have heard it are Evanescence fans that are not fond of solo Amy, but still. There are many people who would love this song if they had no idea who it's by. The industrial dance groove it's got going is very marketable. And even for those who don't like it, it's still very admirable that Amy would do something like this, even though it was for a soundtrack. It's on my workout playlist and I love it.

My husband is not a huge Ev fan, he'll listen to them and thinks it's ok music, but not fantastic...and he LOVED push the button. He thought it was great. We were discussing how well it would have gone over at Goth Night back in the day. It really does have that EBM/gothic feel to it that would fit right in among the other music played there. Another band for you who like this song to check out would be Strap-on Halo, They're friends of mine and yes they have a Facebook page.

I played this song for a friend today and she totally loved it. I didn't even have to explain that it was written for a sex scene. She said ''I don't care, it's awesome anyways!'' Yassssss.
