I've been looking at EvRef lately and found this: Another Piece of the PuzzleWhere did Amy state that this song was going to be on the album? Also, the song was not being played in her studio; it was in the studio where she was with Lillywhite. Who put this on there? Information is wrong in this and it was wrong in the 1:38am one too until I corrected it (it wasn't in their studio, it was in Amy's home studio).

I'm pretty sure all we know about it is that it comes from this Tweet (although the link within in to the original video is dead), and since it was posted during her phase of teasing us about Ev3 I think we all just kinda assumed it would be on Ev3. I don't think she ever blatantly stated that the specific song title would appear on Ev3 though.

Well with that logic, she posted "Stompin' Steve" a few days before "Another Piece of the Puzzle" and Stompin' Steve" would have been assumed to be on Ev3 but that isn't stated in the EvRef page for it. Also, those videos are from when she was teasing us with the 2009-2010 Lillywhite sessions/phase of Ev3 (and we all know Wind-up gave that the boot), so any song from there should be assumed not to have been a contender for Ev3 since Wind-Up didn't like them. Though, we did get 5 songs from that time period that were reworked.

I'm assuming the article for Another Piece was written before it was known that the Lillywhite session had been scrapped and it hasn't been updated since. So I'm pretty sure when they meant Ev3 they're talking about Lillywhite Ev3 not Nick Ev3 because at some point in time the Lillywhite sessions were Ev3. It's just a matter of distinguishing where it belongs.

If I remember rightly, it was some interview with both Amy and Steve. I can't remember who the interview was with - I think it was a radio or podcast interview or something maybe? They were talking about what songs they were working on and Amy said they were just working on Another Piece Of The Puzzle, which Amy claimed would be the first single. I think they had a moment where Amy realised she wasn't really supposed to mention it, but Steve said 'too late - you already did'.
Wasn't it the song Questlove was doing some percussion on?
-EDIT- Actually, scrap this - I'm getting it confused with You've Got A Lot To Learn....apologies.

I think you're referring to this interview, but there was nothing said in there about You Got A Lot To Learn being the first single. :/
