After listening to the preview- This will probably be my favorite song off of Synthesis. Amy's voice here is so beautiful and I love all of the background instruments. Imperfection sounded cool and different and interesting...but so far this song has really WOW'd me. More than anything else from Synthesis so far, and more than anything on EV3 did. It reminds me of when I first really got into the band, shortly after The Open Door came out As far as song meaning, I would guess John/Rocky? Ben would make more sense, but "The Last Song I'm Wasting On You"...Unless Amy does not consider this song a waste?

I really love the clock/ticking sound in this song.

Can't wait for the full version of this. I love the beat. And I've always loved Ev's quieter, more trip-hoppy moments the best.

I was hearing mixed reviews of this when people first heard the live version... I finally got to hear it for the first time in Nashville...what a powerful track. I love how pretty much all the Synthesis songs have been very dramatized. Especially this, EOTD, and Never Go Back. Love this style..can't wait to hear the full studio track.

I cannot wait to hear the album version of this. The live is great, so I can only imagine how awesome the studio version will be.

This song is so beautiful. It's very soothing. Very ethereal, romantic, very different to their previous songs imo. Makes me wonder what their new album will sound like. Lindsey doesn't come on until the bridge which is the right place. Reminds me of Missing in a way.

As stated in the first post please remember to use spoiler tags for those who are waiting to hear the song when the album comes out. I was personally waiting to find out if I could pick out Lindsey's part from the Inside Synthesis video when I had the album to listen to, but now I won't have to do that.

I adore the flute (?) at the beginning. And the xylophone in it.
Lindsey did an amazing job. I also love the way Amy sings the word high. And like I mentioned before, I really like the clock sound effects.
Also at 4:33 when the music stops for just a split second, oh man. So good.

I was just expecting it to be more fast-paced for some reason, but I really am in love with it.

The piano in the very beginning already sent my stomach into knots because it evoked a feeling of nostalgia so I knew this was gonna be a good song. Wow. I've always been somewhat indifferent to Lindsey Stirling, but I feel like she was certainly needed for this song. Hi-Lo sounds so powerful with her skills. Also, the echo effect that can be heard through pretty much almost the entire song is icing on the cake for me. I like to notice little details in songs and I especially love when the echo is used(and when it's used properly). Wonderful song. My lyric interpretation makes me think of someone who hurt the main person(I'll avoid saying Amy because she has her own personal meaning to the song, and I don't want to put meanings in her mouth. I know she mentioned a meaning to the song but still, this is my personal interpretation ) at some point, who became worse and worse that eventually, they could see the harm they were doing but they couldn't see the hurt that harm was causing("the more I stood still the faster you were running", "You don't know how it feels crawling under your skin, so far, so far away"). This was a problem that took over the person who hurt them but it was too late, the damage has been done("I can't be your friend, hold your hand while you bleed") and this ends the friendship/relationship("There's nothing left to give you, nothing more I need") The chorus I think is a chant of courage, about how it's "one or the other" in a way("High or low"), and how these two people can have a healthy and happy relationship or a become a complete trainwreck(" we could be high or low") - and eventually, our main character in the song "gave up" on the person who hurt them, but "never forgot" - which I think is quite self explanatory... To me it's like a "you hurt me, I couldn't carry on with you hurting me like this, it's been a long time and you're gone, but I will never forget the hurt you caused me, but it is time to move on" type song. Yeah. Gods, I'm terrible at this and talking about lyric meanings, they always turn out so long.

The strings build at 3:20 was one of my favorite moments of the show, I'm happy to hear it in tact in the recording. And that piano "tumbling down" part right after is another great moment. Of course I love a good solo violin, so this whole portion of the song is pure joy.
