I really dislike when people say that the last vocal note in Your Star is Amy's... *lee sigh*

Now that I've seen a lot of live videos I can definitely say that this is Amy's strongest/more consistent tour until now. I saw the 10/15/17 show in Los Angeles (2nd of the 2017 tour) and the 12/16/17 show in San Francisco (2nd to last of the 2017 tour) and Amy's vocals were so much more improved from the one to the other. Further, I saw the 9/5/18 show in Mountain View and Amy's performance was superb. I think that her voice has been featured first on both the Synthesis studio recording and the live shows. I have been brought to tears just listening to her sing on both the studio and live albums, and in live performances. I sincerely believe Amy's vocals have never before been featured so incredibly well and performed so well.

Slightly off topic, but I hope in a future album that Amy plays with her lower register a bit more like in TOD. It gives her so much more to work with live if she’s not pushing herself with higher notes so much. And, it’ll likely save her voice. (Also, bring the choir back ).

Save her voice? If Amy is singing from her diaphragm, rather than from her vocal chords, her voice is going to be safe for a very long time. In my opinion, she's a natural at singing from her diaphragm, as the projection of her vocals - most importantly, live, but also recorded - have proved over the years.

It is still possible to have difficulties live, seeing as she’s not professionally trained. She moves around onstage quite a bit on top of that.

Her vocals were incredible during the Synthesis tour, like don't get me wrong, we all know and love her talent but even during the Synthesis tour in a couple of shows we could still hear her a bit pushy on the high notes, which yeah, there are a lot of them and very difficult to hit. She should probably lower the songs a semi tone so she feels more comfortable.

In my opinion since starting this new tour I noticed a significant change in Amy’s vocals. Based on the videos I have watched and also based on the New Orleans show I attended her vocal strength seems to be weakening. She is relying more on her falsetto than ever before. She sounds as though she struggling a lot more and her voice has been cracking more so now as well. As mentioned by another member you can sing from your diaphragm yes and that will help your voice but Amy does not rely on her diaphragm as often as she should. She even said in interviews from awhile back that you kind of have to sacrifice technique when you’re performing within this capacity. She also has a lot of gravel in her voice now, she doesn’t end her notes smoothly on occasion but relies on her vocal fry. This can be used subtly and sound rather pleasing but I feel when Amy uses it it’s because she’s running out of air and her voice does not sound as though she’s properly hydrated. I know she consumes alcohol usually before a show and alcohol can damage the vocal chords, at least to the extent that it numbs the area to where you cannot feel the pressure you’re placig on them and you can do damage. Again this is my opinion we are have our own so please let’s be adults here and not attack anyone. Amy is amazing we all know that no one is trashing her abilities.

I've also noticed that Amy's voice is a bit weak. When you listen to the beginning of Disappear, the voice is clearly not forward, it sounds like it emerges from the back of her throat. Her placement sounds like she is about to sing opera and it gives her voice a very dark hollow tone (geez I don't know how to explain any better). Amy please get lessons. I have no idea how she will be able to have the same quality in 10 or 20 years.
I don't even think she would be able to sing Say You Will on this run of the tour I can't get over how she sounded on TOO in this live. I don't think she can do that now

I think her register might have changed somewhat after having Jack as well.

Agree with you both. ^^ I really believe she needs a vocal coach bc if not she will have to start lowering the pitch of the songs she performs. She said it herself that she writes music at a very high register for her voice. It’s liberating to sing and in the studio u have the luxury of resting your voice in between takes but night after night with out the proper hydration and diet and sleeping schedule it won’t be good for our Amy

New reaction video ! This vocal coach goes a little bit into depth on how Amy exactly strain her voice. Very interesting !
However I disagree A LOT with the "best vocals" selected.
